![]() The prophet Nathan told David God was angry with him.ĭavid’s adultery and premeditated murder added up to quite a laundry list of sins. He was downtrodden and suffering for his sins. Life did not look good for David at this point. After she mourned her first husband, Bathsheba married David, but the child of their affair died. Since he couldn’t set up Uriah as the father of Bathsheba’s baby, David had his general Joab put Uriah in the front lines of battle, intentionally positioning Uriah to be killed. David tried to arrange for Uriah to go back to his house and wife at night during Uriah’s military service, to make it appear he was the father of Bathsheba’s baby, but Uriah remained with his fellow soldiers. Her husband Uriah was a soldier in David’s army. Bathsheba became pregnant with David’s child. His actions were huge mistakes, and he wanted his spirit to recover and his life to move on.ĭavid sinned by having an affair with Bathsheba, a beautiful, married woman he had lusted after when he gazed at her bathing from the roof of his palace at night. David wanted a fresh start and a clear conscience. Why Did David Ask God to 'Create in Me a Clean Heart'?ĭavid wrote Psalm 51 when he was feeling guilty for sins that he thought could sever or disrupt his relationship with God and ruin his career as king of Israel. When we confess and pray for a clean heart, God will give us a new life, pleasing to Him.Īs it is written in the New Testament: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" ( Romans 12:2). The sins of the previous world were washed away.ĭavid knew a redirection of his desires and thoughts could only come about through the intervention of God, a cosmic cleansing, when he prayed, “Against you, you only, have I sinned” ( Psalm 51:4). Noah and his family walked on to dry land with nothing cluttering their hearts, minds, and physical world. The scope of this type of cleansing is as wide as it was in the years of Noah’s voyage on the ark. ![]() When David prayed "Create in me a clean heart," he used the same Hebrew verb that is used in Genesis 1:1 for the creation of the world, a cosmic cleansing before starting anew from scratch. What Does 'Create in Me a Clean Heart' Mean? While property owners clean out the garage, steam carpets, and rake the lawn, Christians traditionally pray, fast, and give to charity to reflect on and prepare for the ultimate clean-up act of Jesus’ death and resurrection at Easter. All these afflicted people were made new or clean by contact with Christ.Ī particularly popular time for cleaning our hearts and inside our homes is in spring, during the Christian observation of Lent. The lame, blind, and diseased were healed those bitter from life’s experiences gained a new perspective, and people possessed by evil spirits were relieved. In Jesus’ ministry on earth, he cleaned or cleansed many people’s bodies and hearts. She saw herself as God saw her-fresh and clean. Most importantly, after her conversation with Jesus, she saw herself as someone worth loving because God loved her. Her image in the village changed from outcast to hero when she told other people about meeting Jesus. She changed from being a skeptical, rote follower of her religion to a fresh new believer knowing Jesus as God’s Messiah. Instead of drawing water from the well, she drew “living water” from a different, spiritual source. This woman’s spirit was cleansed in her encounter with Jesus. ![]() She drops her pot and runs to tell others in her village the good news of living water flowing from Jesus, the Messiah. She has a long conversation with Jesus and no longer needs water from the well. ![]() Her personal life was also messy, with five husbands and in a relationship with a sixth man. She wanted to clean up her home, get rid of grime on walls and floors. She was drawing drinking water, no doubt, but I like to think some of her water was drawn for cleaning. ![]() ![]() ![]() When collecting inspiration for a mood board, designers should keep the goals of the finished project in mind. Otherwise, look to places like stock photo sites, design galleries, color palette sites like or Design Seeds, the physical environment and physical objects, typography galleries like Typewolf, and even social media ( Instagram and Pinterest can be particularly ripe grounds for finding design inspiration). Designers often keep swipe files of inspiration, which is a great place to start. Mood board ideas can come from virtually anywhere. Instead, its theme board could include things like natural textures or primary colors. For example, a kids’ clothing site might have a jungle or carnival theme, but that doesn’t mean it needs to have tigers or clowns incorporated. The theme should be closely tied to the goals of the design or brand, though it can be abstract. Settling on a theme can bring cohesiveness to the mood board as well as to the final design based on it. Textures: Any textures or patterns a design will incorporate should be included in the mood board.Įxplanations: As needed, explanations for elements included in the mood board can add context and make it easier to see how all of the different parts will work together toward the end design. Words: Words that tie into the brand or message that should be conveyed can be an important part of any mood board.įonts: Designers should include specific fonts (or at least general font styles) into their mood boards for any design where the text will be prominent. Visual Metaphors: Visual metaphors are an important part of modern advertising and branding, and can be included if appropriate. ![]() Images: These can include brand images, stock photography, product images, photos found on Instagram or other photo sharing sites, illustrations, and even things like logos.Ĭolors: Incorporating the design’s color palette is an important part of most mood boards and can be included as swatches or incorporated into images and other design elements. Here are some ideas for things to include in a mood board: The important thing is to include as many elements as needed to convey the look and feel of the design being created. A brand mood board might include a lot more elements than one for a package or website design. They’re a much lower investment than mockups and prototypes in terms of resources and time and can convey a lot about the look and feel of the final design.Įvery mood board is different, and what a designer chooses to include will vary based on the project. Mood boards are also an excellent way to refine a project’s style before diving into the actual design process. They can be a valuable resource throughout the design project, to help keep the style and aesthetic consistent and on track with a client’s goals and expectations. Mood boards can serve many purposes, starting with organizing the inspiration around a project. ![]() I’ll share an overview of how to use them in your work, along with inspiring mood board examples. Sometimes called inspiration boards, mood boards can be used for creating brand designs, product designs, website designs, and pretty much any other type of design project. Mood boards are physical or digital collages that arrange images, materials, text, and other design elements into a format that’s representative of the final design’s style. When choosing wiring for a 600 amp 3 phase electrical service, you’ll have to properly size conductors and grounding. ![]() Selecting the Appropriate Wire Size for a 600 Amp 3-Phase Ensuring appropriately sized grounding maximizes safety. The NEC provides ground wire sizing guidance. Ambient Temperature Impacts Sizingīigger wires can handle higher temperatures and more current. Longer wire lengths mean higher resistance and voltage drops. Conductor Length – Bigger Wire for Longer Runsīuilding wiring can vary from short panel feeds to 100 foot+ branch circuit runs. For a short run to an adjacent panel, a 1-2% drop is fine. The NEC recommends keeping voltage drop under 3% at the farthest electrical outlet in a branch circuit. Excess voltage drops can lead to poor equipment performance or shutdowns. Longer wire runs to the electrical panel will experience higher voltage drops. This allows equivalent wire sizing for copper and aluminum conductors.Īgain, a 600 amp service wire size of 1500 kcmil copper or 2000 kcmil aluminum will do the job.Īnd because a parallel feed is recommended for practicality (1500 kcmil and bigger wires are harder to acquire, and working with these sizes is time-consuming) two 350 kcmil copper wires or two 500 kcmil aluminum wires will suffice. The NEC provides adjustment factors to account for differences in resistance and ampacity. Copper has lower resistance, so a smaller size handles the same amperage as aluminum. You can use either copper or aluminum wires for a 600 amp, 240V service.
